Riftbound: Vendetta — releases 31 July 2026

Vendetta is the next Riftbound: League of Legends TCG set, and it's a big one — a rivalries-themed expansion built around clashing champions like Nasus vs Renekton and Shen vs Zed. Here's everything that's been confirmed, in one place.

Release date

Riftbound: Vendetta releases on 31 July 2026, with in-store Pre-Rift launch events kicking off from 24 July. It's the first Riftbound set to launch simultaneously worldwide in English and Simplified Chinese.

Sealed product — booster boxes and packs — is already listing, and you can compare it cheapest-first on our sealed page right now. The singles will populate the Vendetta set page with live prices the moment cards release.

What's in the set

  • 160+ cards, including 50+ Showcase cards and nine new Champion Legends.
  • Champions making their Riftbound debut include Nasus, Renekton, Akali, Mel, Ambessa, Zed and Shen.
  • Signed Overnumbered variants for the nine Legends, plus 22 Rival Overnumbers — diptych cards that celebrate League's greatest rivalries and are designed to be displayed as a pair.

Three new mechanics

Vendetta introduces Flow, Burn and Empower — three mechanics that add whole new ways to play. We break each one down in Vendetta's new mechanics explained, but in short:

  • Flow lets you play cards from your trash instead of your hand.
  • Burn sends cards from a deck to the trash — to fuel your own synergies, or to attack your opponent's deck directly.
  • Empower lets a card gain new abilities once it's in play, often after paying a cost.

New card types

Vendetta also adds two new card concepts — Unit-Gear (a card that counts as both a unit and a piece of gear) and Decrees (a cycle of rivalry spells). Full detail in Vendetta's new card types.

A new way to play: Showdown Decks

Vendetta debuts Showdown Decks — Riftbound's first ready-to-play two-player product, so two people can open one box and battle straight away. The first pairing is fittingly Shen versus Zed.

New domain pairings

Vendetta leans into new two-domain colour pairings for deckbuilding: Fury + Calm (red + green), Mind + Body (blue + orange) and Chaos + Order (purple + yellow) — rival domains forced together. If you're planning a deck, our Vendetta deckbuilding guide walks through what the new mechanics and pairings point toward.

How to be ready

  1. Wishlist now. Browse the card database and wishlist what you already want — you'll get an alert if a price drops.
  2. Compare sealed early. VEN boxes move fast at launch; the sealed page ranks them cheapest-first across stores.
  3. Have your deck ready to price. Drop a list into the deck pricer so you can total it the moment cards go live.
  4. Don't overpay in the rush. Launch hype pushes prices up — RiftCompare always shows the cheapest delivered price so you never pay the first number you see.

More cards are still being revealed ahead of launch, and we'll keep this updated as they are. In the meantime, track everything on the Vendetta set page.
