# What's in the Riftbound Radiance Set?

_2026-10-29 · RiftCompare_

167 base cards, 62 Showcase printings and nine Legends, each paired with its own Epic: the full Radiance breakdown, counted from our catalogue.

## The short version

- **167 base cards**, numbered 001/167 to 167/167 with no gaps: one card bigger than Vendetta and well short of the 200-plus-card sets before it.
- **Rarity splits 48 Common / 46 Uncommon / 45 Rare / 28 Epic**, plus **62 Showcase-tier printings** on top: 18 alt arts, 17 over-numbered cards, 16 Signatures, 6 Showcase Runes and 5 SP specials.
- **Nine Legends, and each one sits next to its own Epic** in the numbering (Riven at 149, Blade of the Exile at 150), so every champion arrives with a signature spell or Gear.
- **The whole 167-card base set cost about US$113 in singles** at the cheapest US store prices on 28 October, five days after launch. Booster boxes started at US$116.59.

Radiance (set code RAD) is Riftbound's fifth set, released worldwide on 23 October 2026. Now that the whole set is out and priced, here is exactly what's in it (for the card-by-card list with live prices, see the [Radiance card list](/sets/radiance)), counted from our own catalogue rather than copied from a reveal schedule: rarity, card type, domain, the Showcase tier, and what it all costs a week in.

## The headline number: 167 base cards

Radiance's collector numbers run from 001/167 to 167/167 with no gaps. That's one card more than [Vendetta](/sets/vendetta) (166) and well under [Unleashed](/guides/whats-in-the-riftbound-unleashed-set) (219) or [Spirit Forged](/guides/whats-in-the-riftbound-spirit-forged-set) (221). Riftbound sets have been getting smaller and tighter since the launch set, and Radiance continues that.

On top of the base set there are **62 Showcase-tier printings**, in five groups:

- **18 alternate-art Units** that keep their base number with an "a" after it (Riven, Broken Blade at 043a, for example). Every one is a champion Unit, two for each of the nine Legends.
- **17 over-numbered cards** at 168/167 to 184/167: the nine Showcase Legends (168 to 176), seven Showcase Units (177 to 183: Ekko, then the six HEARTSTEEL band members K'Sante, Aphelios, Ezreal, Yone, Kayn and Sett) and one Showcase Battlefield, Packed Amphitheater at 184.
- **16 Signatures**, with the artist's signature and a star in the number (173★/167): all nine Legends, the six HEARTSTEEL Units (178★ to 183★, signed with the band members' names), and a Chinese-exclusive Seraphine Legend at 174a★. [Every Radiance Signature](/blog/riftbound-radiance-signature-cards) has the full story.
- **6 Showcase Runes**, one per domain (R01A to R06A).
- **5 SP cards**, numbered SP1/005 to SP5/005: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kai'Sa and Seraphine.

New to Showcase, over-numbered and Signature? The [rarity and printings guide](/guides/understanding-riftbound-card-rarity) explains each one, and [the Radiance alt arts](/guides/riftbound-radiance-alt-art-cards) and [the Radiance Legends](/guides/riftbound-radiance-legends) show them side by side.

## Rarity breakdown

| Rarity | Cards |
| --- | --- |
| Common | 48 |
| Uncommon | 46 |
| Rare | 45 |
| Epic | 28 |
| **Base total** | **167** |
| Showcase-tier printings (incl. 16 Signature) | 62 |

The first three tiers are almost level, so a Radiance Rare isn't much scarcer than a Common. The real scarcity is at Epic (28 cards, 17% of the set) and in the Showcase tier. All 28 Epics are listed with prices in [every Radiance Epic](/guides/riftbound-radiance-epic-cards).

By type, the Epics are 14 Units, 8 Gear and 6 Spells. By domain, Fury and Calm have 6 each, Body 5, Mind 4, Chaos and Order 3 each, and Colorless 1 (Neeko, Blending In, the set's last card at 167/167).

## Every Legend comes with its own Epic

This is the most interesting thing about how Radiance is laid out. The nine Legends sit at the odd numbers from 139 to 155, and the even number after each one is an Epic built for that champion:

| # | Legend | Domain | Its Epic |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 139 | [Ekko, Boy Who Shattered Time](/card/ekko-boy-who-shattered-time-rad-139-167) | Fury | Chronobreak (Spell) |
| 141 | [Ziggs, Hexplosives Expert](/card/ziggs-hexplosives-expert-rad-141-167) | Fury | Hexplosive Minefield (Spell) |
| 143 | [Mordekaiser, Iron Revenant](/card/mordekaiser-iron-revenant-rad-143-167) | Fury | Realm of Death (Spell) |
| 145 | [Orianna, Lady of Clockwork](/card/orianna-lady-of-clockwork-rad-145-167) | Calm | The Ball (Gear) |
| 147 | [K'Sante, Pride of Nazumah](/card/k-sante-pride-of-nazumah-rad-147-167) | Calm | Ntofo Strikes (Spell) |
| 149 | [Riven, The Exile](/card/riven-the-exile-rad-149-167) | Calm | Blade of the Exile (Gear) |
| 151 | [Seraphine, Starry-Eyed Songstress](/card/seraphine-starry-eyed-songstress-rad-151-167) | Mind | Encore (Spell) |
| 153 | [Evelynn, Agony's Embrace](/card/evelynn-agony-s-embrace-rad-153-167) | Body | Last Caress (Spell) |
| 155 | [Jarvan IV, Exemplar of Demacia](/card/jarvan-iv-exemplar-of-demacia-rad-155-167) | Body | Demacian Standard (Gear) |

So a player building around a Radiance Legend will usually want that Epic too, which is why these nine Epics are among the set's dearest base cards. On 28 October, [Blade of the Exile](/card/blade-of-the-exile-rad-150-167) was the most expensive base card in the set at US$35, ahead of The Ball (US$9.45) and Realm of Death (US$9.25).

As in Spirit Forged, there is **no Chaos or Order Legend**. Every champion also has a hub page with all of their printings across sets: [Ekko](/champions/ekko), [Ziggs](/champions/ziggs), [Mordekaiser](/champions/mordekaiser), [Orianna](/champions/orianna), [K'Sante](/champions/k-sante), [Riven](/champions/riven), [Seraphine](/champions/seraphine), [Evelynn](/champions/evelynn) and [Jarvan IV](/champions/jarvan-iv).

## Card type breakdown

| Type | Common | Uncommon | Rare | Epic | Total |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Unit | 26 | 20 | 24 | 14 | 84 |
| Spell | 15 | 13 | 4 | 6 | 38 |
| Gear | 7 | 3 | 8 | 8 | 26 |
| Battlefield | — | 10 | — | — | 10 |
| Legend | — | — | 9 | — | 9 |

Units are about half the set. Gear is unusually top-heavy: 16 of the 26 Gear cards are Rare or Epic, so equipment from this set is more often a chase than filler. Spells go the other way, with only 10 of 38 at Rare or above. All ten Battlefields are Uncommon (157 to 166), so a full Radiance Battlefield set costs very little; each was about 10 US cents or less.

## Domain breakdown

| Domain | Cards |
| --- | --- |
| Fury | 29 |
| Calm | 29 |
| Body | 27 |
| Mind | 25 |
| Chaos | 23 |
| Order | 23 |
| Colorless | 11 |

The spread is tighter than in Origins or Spirit Forged: just six cards between the biggest and smallest domain. Fury and Calm lead as they have in every set, and Chaos and Order sit at the bottom again.

## The cost curve

Across the 148 base-set Units, Spells and Gear (Legends and Battlefields have no cost):

| Energy cost | Cards |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | 14 |
| 2 | 26 |
| 3 | 34 |
| 4 | 26 |
| 5 | 19 |
| 6 | 11 |
| 7 | 6 |
| 8+ | 12 |

Radiance is a heavier set than the ones before it. The average costed card is about **3.9 energy** (Spirit Forged was 3.4), only 27% cost 2 or less, and **12 cards cost 8 or 9**, including Supernova, Zero Point Inflection, Mordekaiser, Dominating and Party Crasher. Among Units, the most common might is 4 (21 Units), and the biggest body is Drakehound Packmaster, a 9-cost Fury Rare with 9 might.

## Radiance next to Vendetta

Radiance is built almost exactly like the set before it, which makes the two easy to compare:

| | Vendetta | Radiance |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Base cards | 166 | 167 |
| Common / Uncommon / Rare / Epic | 48 / 46 / 45 / 27 | 48 / 46 / 45 / 28 |
| Units / Spells / Gear | 91 / 41 / 15 | 84 / 38 / 26 |
| Legends / Battlefields | 9 / 10 | 9 / 10 |
| Average cost (Units, Spells, Gear) | 3.7 | 3.9 |
| Cards costing 8 or more | 7 | 12 |
| Showcase-tier printings | 64 | 62 |
| Signature printings | 9 | 16 |
| Whole base set in singles, cheapest US price, 28 October | about US$73 | about US$113 |

The rarity split is identical apart from one extra Epic, and both sets have nine Legends and ten Battlefields. The differences are in what the cards do and what the premium tier looks like. Radiance trades Units for Gear (26 Gear cards against Vendetta's 15), it is noticeably more expensive to cast, and it has nearly twice as many Signatures, because the six HEARTSTEEL Units get one as well as every Legend.

That last point matters for collectors. In Vendetta the Signature chase was nine Legends. In Radiance it is sixteen cards, so a Signature is easier to pull in a box but each one is a smaller share of the set's value. If you want the history of how Vendetta's chase tiers priced out, [the Vendetta chase cards post](/blog/riftbound-vendetta-chase-cards-so-far) tracks them.

## What it costs a week after launch

Prices were taken from our catalogue on 28 October 2026, five days after release. They move daily, so the set page always has the live numbers.

- **A complete base set (all 167 cards) came to about US$113** in singles at the cheapest US store price for each card. Blade of the Exile alone is almost a third of that.
- **Booster boxes** started at US$116.59 in the US (TCGplayer), £100 in the UK, €97.99 in the EU, C$179.95 in Canada and A$239.99 at an Australian store. Single packs were from US$5.74, £4.99, C$7.95 and A$10.99.
- **The Showcase tier is where the money is.** Over-numbered Showcase Legends ran from about US$54 (K'Sante) to US$230 (Riven). Their Signature versions start around US$300 and reach four figures: Riven's Signature was listed at US$1,450 and Seraphine's at US$1,250.
- **Alt arts are the affordable premium.** The 18 alternate-art Units ran from US$1.50 to US$6.50, with Riven, Broken Blade the dearest at about US$9.

So for most players, singles are far cheaper than chasing a playset from packs, and the [box value guide](/guides/riftbound-booster-box-ev-worth-ripping-or-buying-singles) explains when opening a box still makes sense.
