The most-searched collectibles in **[Riftbound: Vendetta](/sets/vendetta)** are its **Overnumbers** — the set's premium chase cards. Here's what they are, who has one, and why collectors want them.

## What is an Overnumbered card?

An **Overnumbered** card is a special printing whose collector number sits *above* the set's base numbering — a signal that it's a rarer, showcase-tier version of a card. In Vendetta, that's everything numbered **167 and up** (the set proper runs 1-166).

## The 9 signed Legend Overnumbers

Nine new champion **Legends** each get their own signed Overnumbered variant — a premium printing carrying an in-universe signature treatment, and the top-end pulls of the whole set:

- **[Akali, Rogue Assassin](/card/akali-rogue-assassin-ven-189s-166)**
- **[Renekton, Butcher of the Sands](/card/renekton-butcher-of-the-sands-ven-190s-166)**
- **[Zed, Master of Shadows](/card/zed-master-of-shadows-ven-191s-166)**
- **[Nasus, Curator of the Sands](/card/nasus-curator-of-the-sands-ven-192s-166)**
- **[Shen, Eye of Twilight](/card/shen-eye-of-twilight-ven-193s-166)**
- **[Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow](/card/jayce-defender-of-tomorrow-ven-194s-166)**
- **[Mel, Soul's Reflection](/card/mel-soul-s-reflection-ven-195s-166)**
- **[Ambessa, Matriarch of War](/card/ambessa-matriarch-of-war-ven-196s-166)**
- **[Kennen, Heart of the Tempest](/card/kennen-heart-of-the-tempest-ven-197s-166)**

## Rival Overnumbers — the rivalry diptychs

Vendetta's rivalries theme gets its own chase cycle: **22 Rival Overnumbers** — reprints of existing champion cards with a premium treatment. Each is half of a **diptych**, a pair designed to sit side by side, so a rivalry like **[Nasus](/card/nasus-guardian-of-knowledge-ven-178) vs [Renekton](/card/renekton-brute-ven-177)** or **[Shen](/card/shen-scourge-of-shadows-ven-170) vs [Zed](/card/zed-from-the-shadows-ven-169)** is displayed as a matched set. Collectors chase both halves to complete the pair, which is exactly what makes them desirable (and pricey).

## Why collectors care

- **Scarcity:** Overnumbered and Rival printings appear far less often than base cards, so they command the highest prices in the set.
- **Display value:** the diptych design rewards owning and displaying the pair — a collecting hook base cards don't have.
- **Champion appeal:** the signed Legends are the marquee champions of the set, which concentrates demand.
