# Riftbound HEARTSTEEL Overnumbered: All 6 Cards

All six HEARTSTEEL overnumbered Radiance cards, RAD 178–183/167: what each does, which five are reprints, and K'Sante's first Champion Unit.

**Riot has now shown every HEARTSTEEL card in Riftbound: Radiance.** The official graphic lines the whole band up in two rows — K'Sante, Aphelios and Ezreal on top, Yone, Kayn and Sett below — as **overnumbered Champion Units, RAD 178/167 through 183/167**, every one of them in HEARTSTEEL skin-line art by **Luscinia Studio**.

That settles three things this site has been tracking for a week. HEARTSTEEL *is* in Radiance: the [redacted contents list](/blog/riftbound-radiance-colorless-champion-unit) of 22 September named the band, and now there are collector numbers to go with the name. Yone, the one member missing from the "LIVE MY LIFE" video stills we saw, has a card after all. And K'Sante, whose [Legend and signature spell](/blog/riftbound-ksante-radiance-spoiler) surfaced yesterday, now has a Champion Unit too.

It also answers the question [our first HEARTSTEEL post](/blog/riftbound-heartsteel-cards) asked of the Kayn card in the video: new card, or new printing? For five of the six the answer is the same — **a new printing of a card you can already play** — and the one exception is the most interesting card on the sheet.

## The six cards at a glance

The domain is the colour of each card's name banner, and for the five reprints it agrees with the domain the original has always had. Cost is the energy figure in the top-left badge — ringed, on these cards, with the word HEARTSTEEL — and Might is the number in the top-right shield.

Three pieces, and each does a separate job.

**[Accelerate](/keywords/accelerate)** lets you pay an extra cost as you play him so he enters ready rather than exhausted: a five-cost unit that can act the turn it lands, if you can afford it. **[Shield 2](/keywords/shield)** gives him +2 Might while he is defending, so on defence he fights as a 6. And *"When I hold, channel 1 rune"* pays you for doing what a Shield unit is built to do anyway — sit on a battlefield you already control and refuse to leave. Every time he holds, you get an extra rune, the resource the whole game's economy runs on.

That last line is the design worth noticing. K'Sante's two cards from yesterday were both about turning Shield into *damage*: his Legend, Pride of Nazumah, gives a friendly unit *"I have Assault equal to my Shield"* for the turn, and Ntofo Strikes grants Shield 2 and then deals damage equal to it. Courageous is the other half of the same idea — a defender rewarded for defending, with **Shield 2 of his own** for the Legend to convert. Put him next to Pride of Nazumah and the Legend's ability turns his Shield 2 into Assault 2: a wall that hits back, which is exactly what the Legend is asking for.

He also fits the Legend on colour. Pride of Nazumah carries two domain gems, Calm and Body; Courageous is Body. A deck built around the Legend can run him without reaching for a third domain.

**What we have not seen** is a base-numbered K'Sante, Courageous. 178/167 is the overnumbered treatment, and in earlier sets overnumbered cards have sat alongside an ordinary printing — Aphelios, Exalted, one of the cards on this very sheet, has both a 049/221 and an overnumbered 224/221 in Spiritforged. Riot has not shown whether Courageous also gets an ordinary, base-numbered printing in Radiance. If it does, that will be the version most players actually buy.

## The five reprints, card by card

The other five are not new cards. Each matches a card that has been legal since Origins or Spiritforged on name, cost, Might and domain, and the rules text is word for word the same, with the one exception covered under Yone. The HEARTSTEEL cards also leave off the reminder text the originals carry, and spend the space on flavour instead. What is new is the art, the frame and the collector number, which makes each of them a new **printing** and changes nothing about how the card plays.

### Aphelios, Exalted — RAD 179/167

A reprint of [Aphelios, Exalted](/card/aphelios-exalted-sfd-049-221) (Spiritforged 049/221, Calm, 4 energy, 4 Might):

> When you attach an Equipment to me, choose one that hasn't been chosen this turn — Ready 2 runes. · Channel 1 rune exhausted. · Buff a friendly unit.

The only visible change is typographic: "Buff" is set as a keyword chip rather than a plain word. The flavour line is *"(ding ding ding)"*.

### Ezreal, Dashing — RAD 180/167

A reprint of [Ezreal, Dashing](/card/ezreal-dashing-sfd-082-221) (Spiritforged 082/221, Mind, 4 energy, 3 Might):

> When I attack or defend, deal damage equal to my Might to an enemy unit here. I don't deal combat damage. *Mind:* **Action** — Move me to your base.

The text is identical. Ezreal has two Riftbound cards, Dashing and Prodigy, and it is Dashing that gets the band treatment.

### Yone, Blademaster — RAD 181/167

A reprint of [Yone, Blademaster](/card/yone-blademaster-sfd-116-221) (Spiritforged 116/221, Body, 5 energy, 5 Might):

> **Weaponmaster** — When I conquer a battlefield that was uncontrolled, deal damage equal to my Might to an enemy unit in a base.

**This is the one reprint whose wording differs.** The Spiritforged card reads *"When I conquer an **open** battlefield"*; the HEARTSTEEL card reads *"When I conquer a battlefield **that was uncontrolled**"*. The rest of the sentence is unchanged. Whether that is new wording for the same condition or a change to when the ability triggers, Riot has not said, and we are not going to guess. If you play Yone, the text to check is Riot's own once the card reaches its official card gallery.

The flavour on the other five reads like song lyrics — two-line couplets on K'Sante, Ezreal, Kayn and Sett, a bracketed *"(ding ding ding)"* on Aphelios. Yone's is the only one written as prose: *"With his passion for music now reignited, Yone is determined to take this band straight to the top."*

### Kayn, Unleashed — RAD 182/167

A reprint of [Kayn, Unleashed](/card/kayn-unleashed-ogn-189-298) (Origins 189/298, Chaos, 6 energy, 6 Might):

> **Ganking** — If I have moved twice this turn, I don't take damage.

This is the card the "LIVE MY LIFE" video put on screen, and the one our HEARTSTEEL post identified as Kayn, Unleashed rather than a new Kayn. It now has a collector number: 182/167. It is also **the first alternate printing Kayn, Unleashed has ever had** — until today he was the one HEARTSTEEL member whose card existed in exactly one print.

### Sett, Kingpin — RAD 183/167

A reprint of [Sett, Kingpin](/card/sett-kingpin-ogn-240-298) (Origins 240/298, Order, 4 energy, 5 Might):

> **Tank** — I get +1 Might for each buffed friendly unit at my battlefield.

Sett also has two Riftbound cards, so be precise about which one this is: **Kingpin**, the Order card — not Sett, Brawler, the Body card. The two are easy to confuse in a listing that only says "HEARTSTEEL Sett".

## What "overnumbered" tells you

Radiance's base run is **167 cards** — the first card photographed in print, Neeko, Blending In, is numbered 167/167. A card numbered *above* that, like all six of these, sits outside the base run, which is where Riftbound numbers its premium treatments. On RiftCompare an overnumbered card is filed as a Showcase printing, the same way the overnumbered cards of Origins and Spiritforged are.

The Radiance numbers above 167 shown so far:

That leaves **168 to 171, 173 and 175 to 177** unaccounted for, and anything past 183 unknown. Those numbers belong to cards that have not been shown yet, and the [live spoiler tracker](/blog/riftbound-radiance-spoilers) will log them as they are.

What the graphic does **not** say is how the HEARTSTEEL cards are distributed: which product carries them, at what rate, or whether all six share one. Riot's reveal is a card reveal, not a product announcement, and until Riot publishes pull rates nobody can tell you how scarce these are.

## Why five reprints and one new card

HEARTSTEEL is a skin line, and the sheet reads like one. For the five members who already had a card, Riot reprinted an existing card in band art rather than designing a new one, so a player who owns the originals loses nothing and a collector gets a matched set of six. For the one member who had no card at all, it made one.

That is also why this sheet is less of a deckbuilding event than it looks. Five of the six cards change nothing about what you can build; they are new ways to own cards you could already buy. The deckbuilding news is K'Sante — who, counting yesterday's two cards, now has a Legend, a signature spell and a Champion Unit that all point the same way.

## What it means if you are buying

**Read the collector number before you pay.** "HEARTSTEEL Kayn" is RAD 182/167. "Kayn, Unleashed" with no number could just as easily be the Origins print, 189/298, which has been on sale since launch. The same goes for every reprint on this sheet: the name alone does not tell you which printing a listing is for, and two printings of one card can be very far apart in price.

**If you want to play the card, the original does the same job.** A HEARTSTEEL Aphelios and a Spiritforged Aphelios are the same card at the table. The originals are buyable now, with prices compared across every store we track on each card's page, all linked above.

**Nothing from Radiance is buyable yet.** The set releases **23 October 2026**, and until then there are no Radiance singles to compare. Sealed product is on [pre-order](/radiance-preorders), compared cheapest first in your own currency, and [the set hub](/sets/radiance) switches on live singles prices on release day.

We do not predict prices, and we are not going to start with a chase print nobody has pulled yet.

## What we still don't know

- **Distribution.** Which Radiance product the HEARTSTEEL cards come in, and at what rate.
- **A base-run K'Sante, Courageous.** Whether the card also has an ordinary printing inside the 167-card run.
- **Yone's wording.** Whether "a battlefield that was uncontrolled" plays any differently from "an open battlefield".
- **Final images.** Our card images are crops of Riot's graphic at the resolution it was shared, and will be replaced with the official card art once Radiance's cards reach Riot's card gallery.
